Communal Living in the Student Residences

In all of the student residences of the Munich Studentenwerk [Student Union], there is a student council that is chosen by vote by the residents. The student council is responsible for communally owned resources and equipment, and for acting as liaison between the Studentenwerk [Student Union] as landlord and the students as tenant. The student council consists of Stockwerksprechern [Floor Representatives], Haussprechern [Building Representatives], and their addenda. Additionally, in the residences of the Studentenwerk [Student Union], there is a Tutorenprogramm [Set of activities organised by Residence Assistants], which are organised by associates of the Studentenwerk [Student Union].
