What if I change my Study Major or the University?

Students who want to change their field of study or enroll in an overseas study program, should report this (in writing) to the Studentwerk [Student Union] as soon as possible. This is in their own best interests, as it enables their Student Aid file to be passed on to the newly responsible student bodies without delay, such that the grant can be approved and administered by the beginning of the next semester. The same is true for internships abroad.

A change of subject can lead to a grant being nullified. It is thus important to have clarified all effects of such a change with the Student Aid offices before taking steps.
