Psychotherapeutical and Psychosocial-Counselling

The Psychotherapeutical and Psychosocial-Counselling Office offers free advice - for problems related to studies and also in situations involving personal conflicts. Basically, all students who would like to discuss their problems with qualified professionals are welcome here. Problems may include:
- Studies-related problems (activity- and concentration problems, exam nerves, fear of authorities etc.)
- Problems in relationships, in seeking or breaking up with a partner, etc.
- Social isolation and social contact problems
- Sexual harassment, discrimination and violence
- Reorientiation in study or dissociation from home
- Depression, anxiety, psychosomatic problems, eating disorders, compulsion
- Addiction problems
- Integration problems for foreign students
- Special problems of physically handicapped students (and those affiliated to them).
The employees are strictly bound to professional discretion. An important part of their work, besides private consultations for individuals, couples, and families, are the group sessions focused on personal experience or other themes. In these types of additional courses, topics such as learning effetive study- and work-techniques are taught.
You can come in for a first short contact, the registration talk, without an appointment; further meetings will be arranged from there.
