Welcome

Dear Students,

dear friends of the Studentenwerk (student union),

with our guide ‘Studying in Munich, Freising and Rosenheim’, we aim to help you become more quickly acquainted with your new place of study and to orientate yourself well. We also hope it will aid you in the process of organising your studies and day-to-day life, and encourage you to take advantages of chances and opportunities, which you may not have even thought about. In short, we want to ensure that you are well informed.

Our guide has now been in existence for more than 60 years. As you can see, it has proven its worth. It has of course seen many alterations during this time, but most importantly, it has continued to grow and develop. In its present form, it is a combination of two media:

  • With the map of your new university town, on the back of which is included a selection of the most important addresses and telephone numbers, you will hopefully be able to find you way around quickly. Soon you will know your new town so well, that you can confidently show visiting friends and family around.
  • Additionally, our continually updated online guide provides you with all the information you need to be successful in your studies and lead a fulfilling student life. The information contained is short and succinct, and complimented by useful links to other universities, partners and institutions related to all areas of study. And all of that in German, English, French and Chinese! – Just take a look at: www.wegweiser-muenchen.de
